Up to five caregivers for each child, each with a clear role. The nanny has her own sign-in. A parent approves everyone who joins.

Every entry shows who and when, and corrections keep their history. Reports are kept exactly as you record them, never interpreted.

Where we are going.

Every child in the Gulf grows up surrounded by a care team that works as one. Parents, the nanny and grandparents share one calm record from pregnancy onwards. Later the nursery and the clinic join in, always with the family in control.

It works only if the second caregiver joins: our targets are a 60% second-caregiver join rate and 40% week-four retention, unmeasured today. Risks: no clinical advisor yet, no written opinion that this is a wellness app rather than a medical device, trademark not cleared, two founders with day jobs.

Why the Gulf.
Domestic work is 12.3% of employment in the Arab States, against 2.3% globally (International Labour Organization): the care team already exists. 35% of 457 UAE women showed postpartum depressive symptoms within six months, and spousal support was protective (Hanach et al., 2022).

What is Nawaah?

A shared care app for a family’s children and everyone who looks after them: one record, the night handover, and who is doing what.

How does a night work?

From 18:00 to 07:00 one person taps I’ve got the baby and everyone sees it. In the morning the night shift sends a handover and the other person taps Got it.

Who can see what?

Each person has a role, from parent administrator to view only. A parent decides who may log medicine or temperature, take night shifts or see health details, and approves everyone who joins.

Can our nanny use it?

Yes, with her own sign-in, seeing what her role allows. She never sees a parent’s private check-ins.

Does it work without internet?

It is built for it: entries wait on the phone and send when you are back online, and the app says what has not been shared yet. Testing on real phones is still being finished.

Does it give medical advice?

No. Nawaah shows back what your family records. It never diagnoses, never suggests a dose and never says a child is fine.

Where is our data kept?

Family records are stored in Doha, Qatar; sign-in runs on Google Firebase in the United States. We never sell records or use them for advertising or AI training.

Is there AI in it?

No AI answers questions or gives advice. Handovers are counted from your own records, and voice becomes text you read and confirm.

Does it work for twins or more than one child?

Yes. Each child has their own record and care team.

What does it cost?

Nothing today; it is not available yet. Our working assumption is one family subscription of AED 30–50 a month, with a free tier.

When can we get it?

Not yet. Next is a small group of invited families in Dubai: join the waitlist and we will write when there is a place for your family.

Who builds it?

The two founders, with AI-assisted engineering. Every change is tested and reviewed before it reaches a phone.

What will Nawaah never do?

Diagnose, advise doses, score whether a baby is normal, rank caregivers, put ads in care alerts, sell child data, or give a child an AI to talk to.
